At sunset, katze und krieg invite their audience on an evening expedition through the city. katze und krieg are equipped with radio transmitters so that the audience can hear them via radio receiver. As katze und krieg move through the city, they talk about potential possibilities for action, inspired by what they see. Each sentence begins with, “we could…”. They look for new and unfamiliar actions that disrupt the anonymity and routines of urban space. As soon as they both like a proposal, they try to fullfill it in cooperation with passers-by they meet.
For example, at a performance in Braunschweig, they initiate a group to pee together in the toilet of a bar. Then they want to trade the underpants they took off for chocolate available at the counter. Since the barman shows no interest in the exchange, katze and krieg instigate two guests of the bar to buy them the chocolate. With the chocolate in their hands, they leave the bar and move on. In order to arrange a chocolate fondue, they ask at a sushi restaurant whether the chocolate could be heated in their kitchen, without success. Only when they ring the doorbell of an apartment, they find a man and his son who agree and provide their stove and pot. When the chocolate is heated, the entire audience is invited into the apartment to eat the chocolate together.
Since katze und krieg work with the people and situations on site, each performance is different.
