It is winter 2012. katze und krieg have moved to Cologne in the course of the last year, have no income from their art at the moment and want to earn their money with exactly that. So they turn into pub actresses and tour the pubs of Cologne. In every pub they show their self-created dance theater piece and ask the surprised pub guests for money for the performance. Because, they WANT TO SURVIVE – quite dramatically!!!! They give the camera to their audience.

On February 22, 2012 katze und krieg intervened in the pubs “Eigelschänke”, “Em Pözje”, “Nicos Quelle”, “Durst” and “Sternhagel” in Cologne.
On February 23, 2012 katze und krieg intervened in the pubs “Alex”, “Hotel Mercure Bar”, “hörbar”, “kleine Kneipe” and “Enoteca” in Cologne.
On February 24, 2012 katze und krieg intervened in the pubs “Trips’e Bock”, “Bonner Stübchen”, “em Strüssje”, “Schamrock”, “Speisekammer” and “Fiffybar” in Cologne.
Presentation
On May 26, 2013 a public lecture combined with a screening of the three videos “we want to survive – by hook or by crook”, “we want to survive – quite dramatically” and “we want to survive – with magic” took place at the Atelierhaus Alteburger Wall.
