A clever owl cuts vegetables. The funny bear animates the dirty pig to dance. Bambi shyly peeks out from under the dining table, while the antisocial hyena douses the table with lemonade.
“I am everything” is a performance for everyone who wants to find out which undreamed-of sides are still in you. The participatory performance questions the identity of each participant and gives everyone the opportunity to redefine it. An experimental arrangement that can hurt as much as it makes happy. A challenge for everyone.
30 people are invited to prepare a dinner together. While some chop, others set up the tables, arrange plates and cutlery or take care of atmospheric light. While the food is being prepared, each participant is secretly guided by the hosts into a small chamber to find out which “animal” they would like to try out that evening. Once an “animal” is found, the participant is given the appropriate instructions for actions, suggestions for behavior, which levels increase over the course of the evening until it becomes apparent through props that new ways of being are being tested.
For example, the “cuddly cat” is asked to randomly brush and touch other people during their activities, later to offer massages, and to wear a cuddly fur over her head. The dirty pig, on the other hand, is suggested to make dirty jokes, later to burp shamelessly, and finally, equipped with a full body suit, to chew around with food. There is also a chamber where the animals can record statements during the evening with the help of a video camera. These statements are shown after the collective dinner and reveal how the participants felt during the course of the evening.
